AIM

This course aims to introduce students to design communication through architectural graphics, emphasizing the development of skills in visualizing and articulating architectural ideas, spatial arrangements, and forms. The curriculum provides a comprehensive foundation for conveying design concepts effectively in the dynamic field of architectural design.

PROCESS (PART1)

Embarking on the assignment to depict the Farnsworth House, my initial foray involved an in-depth exploration of its historical background. The task at hand necessitated the creation of a master plan, two elevation drawings, a section view, as well as axonometric and one- and two-point perspective drawings. While the first four drawings aligned with my previous foundational experience, the challenges emerged when tackling the axonometric, one-point, and two-point perspective renderings, areas in which I lacked prior expertise.

PROCESS (PART 2)

Despite turning to online resources, particularly YouTube tutorials, I found myself grappling with the intricacies of accurately executing these specific drawing techniques. Recognizing the complexity of the task at hand, I sought guidance from our senior peers. Fortunately, their wealth of experience proved invaluable as they not only provided insights into the intricacies of axonometric drawing but also generously shared their expertise by hand-sketching the perspectives. This collaborative effort not only enriched my understanding of these advanced drawing methods but also underscored the significance of mentorship and knowledge-sharing within the architectural community

REFLCTION

Throughout this final assignment, which significantly contributes to my overall CGPA, I have taken a meaningful stride forward in my architectural journey, yielding substantial benefits. Notably, I acquired valuable skills not only in scaling humans to plans but also in effectively incorporating furniture elements into my designs. With enthusiasm and eagerness, I now eagerly anticipate upcoming assignments, recognizing their role in further enriching my architectural knowledge and fostering my professional growth.
